With the brand new album (fifth full length) from them out June 12th, titled Synthetica, if you’ve seen these guys before then it’s time to do it again. Not that you wouldn’t have in anycase, the songs are ace and the live show is unstoppable. Toronto act Metric make it back here to Berlin for a gig at Postbahnhof, a pretty good choice of venue for a band that’s really getting a pretty decent global following.

Synthetica is about staying home and wanting to crawl out of your skin from the lack of external stimulation…about forcing yourself to confront what you see in the mirror when you finally stand still long enough to catch a reflection…about being able to identify the original in a long line of reproductions. It’s about what is real vs what is artificial.
